Across 110th. Street
I'd call this one a High End Blaxploitation picture. When I say High End I mean it doesn't suffer from alot of the downfalls of the genre such as the microphone not showing up in every scene,bad lighting with each actor having multiple shadows and boggled lines left unedited. Also this one has a big star of the time in a leading role. (Anthony Quinn)
Across 110th. St refers to 110th. St in NYC where Harlem starts and Manhattan ends, it starts with a crew of Italian mobsters meeting a crew of Black mobsters in Harlem for a cash pick up where a group of men dressed as police rob and kill all the men and steal the cash leading to the cops,the Italians and Black mob trying to figure out who did it.Another thing that sets this one apart is the amount of gore in it.
Must see,great Movie!!!
